OHMYOHMYOHMYOHMY
I wrote a book. It has been published. This is weird as fuck.
MEANINGLESS CYCLES IN A VICIOUS GLASS PRISON: SONGS OF DEATH AND LOVE
Yes. I know the title is long as fuck. I spent too much time into early 00's metalcore and I adore absurdly long titles. Still, the book is cool. My mom says so, so you know it's true.
So, here is the spiel:
Images and ideas absorbed from Delamorte Delamore and reprocessed through my idiot fucking brain into a series of poems dealing with dead people and graveyard fucking and obsession and the monotony of modern life. Also some bits about a skull puzzle and the weird dude who lives in the basement. Oh, and some people get fuuuuuuucked up, but like, not in the "I'm high as fuck" way so much as the "little tiny pieces of goopy people guts" way.
Lucy Snyder wrote the introduction. Steven Archer did the cover art. Linda Addison, Marge Simon, Pippa and Myk Pilgrim, and Donna friggin Munro had some nice things to say about it, too. Honestly, I was friggin floored by all of this.
You can email me (antoncancre -at- gmail.com) to order it directly and get some extra cool stuff for $12 (if in the US).
Special note: Through the rest of 2020, I will donate the proceeds of any direct sales to The Trevor Project. The end of year holidays can be incredibly rough on LGBTQA youth, both for those who have been ostracized by their families and for those who are forced to be around family members that are unwilling to accept them for who they are.
